Scaffold Erector Onsite Training & Certification Programme
The Institute of Technical Education & Safety Consultancy Services (ITESCS)
Duration: 2 Days
Mode: Classroom + Practical + Assessment
Certification Validity: 3 Years
Course Overview
The Scaffold Erector Training & Certification programme is a specialized two-day onsite training designed for personnel involved in the erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolds. The course focuses on safe erection practices, material standards, load calculations, stability requirements, and fall protection, in compliance with Indian Standards and statutory safety regulations.
This training is mandatory for construction, infrastructure, industrial maintenance, power plants, refineries, and EPC projects where scaffolding work is performed.
Applicable Standards & Codes
Indian Standards
- IS 3696 (Part 1) – Safety Requirements for Scaffold Erection, Use & Dismantling
(Material requirements, scaffold components, safe erection procedures) - IS 2750 – Steel Scaffold Materials
- IS 3629 – Timber / Bamboo Evaluation for Scaffolding
- IS 4014 – Steel Tubular Scaffolding Code
Statutory Provisions
- Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Act & Central Rules
- Inter-State Migrant Workmen (ISMW) Act
- Factories Act, 1948 (as applicable)
